Nicole Kidman showed up to March for Babies with fellow Nashville residents. While there, the actress talked about her own baby, Sunday, and how her family spent their Easter holiday in Australia.

Nicole said she returned to her and her husband Keith Urban's homeland so their daughter Sunday could meet Keith's father for the first time. Nicole said her baby and husband were now home in Nashville recovering from the trip, while she attended the event.

March for Babies raises money for babies who need help to survive and thrive, a cause that Nicole says is very important to her.

NICOLE KIDMAN is competing for the film rights to a novel about an asylum seeker as she is desperate to play the lead in a screen adaptation.
The Other Hand by British author Chris Cleave tells the story of a 14-year-old African who visits the U.K. in search of an English widow called Sarah.
According to British newspaper The Sunday Times, Kidman recently read the novel on a flight between Los Angeles and Australia and is so eager to play the role of Sarah that she is competing with a number of film studios to secure the film rights to the book.
The last time Australia-born Kidman played an English woman she scooped an Oscar for best actress for her portrayal of novelist Virginia Woolf in The Hours.

Mother-of-two Jennifer Garner says she looks to working mom Reese Witherspoon for guidance on balancing motherhood and a thriving acting career.

"I always quiz Reese about how she does it," Jennifer tells InStyle magazine. "I feel like she does a really good job."

Jennifer and husband Ben Affleck recently welcomed their second baby girl, Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, to the family. The actress says her oldest daughter Violet, 3, has been "amazing" with her new little sister.

But this Hollywood couple still has the normal day-to-day struggles of raising two young kids. "It's the morning combo of nursing and trying to get Violet to preschool that's such a challenge," the actress explains about her family's routine. "Ben will do the school run. He dresses her and does her hair. It's pretty funny. … You can always tell when he has been at it, just two random barrettes hanging in there. It's so sweet."

As for Jennifer's professional life, her movie costarring Matthew McConaughey titled 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past' is set to hit theaters May 1. The actress can also be seen on the upcoming issue of InStyle magazine, on newsstands Friday.

And in a rare public sighting last week, Nicole appeared particularly attentive to her little girl, while carrying her from a play centre in their hometown of Nashville. "Nicole's been keeping an unusually tight rein on Sunday Rose," says a friend. "She's turned into one of those mothers who can't handle letting her baby out of sight." So intent is she on keeping Sunday in a protective cocoon, Nicole has retreated inside the mansion she shares with husband Keith Urban. "It's starting to cripple Nicole. Reese Witherspoon's son wanted to kill things after watching her new movie.

The blonde actress was amazed when a trip to see "Monsters vs Aliens" - in which she voices the character of Susan, a woman who swells to 42 ft 11 ins tall and then helps save the planet from an alien invasion - brought out Deacon's violent tendencies.

Reese - who has nine-year-old daughter Ava and five-year-old son Deacon with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe - told BANG Showbiz: "I took my kids to see it a couple of week's ago. As I was driving home from the theater I said to my children in the back seat, 'So, what do you think is the message in this movie?' My daughter really thoughtfully said, 'I think it's about never letting someone underestimate you and always living up to your true potential.' I said, 'That is so astute, yes, Ava, that is exactly what the message is.'

"Then I said, 'Deacon, what do you think the movie is about? Friendship? Being an outsider?' He said, 'I think it's about... I think it's about when octopus aliens come to your planet you got to make sure you kill them.' "

Despite the effect the movie had on her son, 5 ft 1 ins Reese has no regrets about starring in it because it allowed her to realize one long-held ambition - to be tall.

She explained: "I appreciated it being somewhat regular sized - actually, I'm a little short. I think it would be such a dream to be able to be walk into any store and to be able to buy jeans that fit, to buy tall jeans that would be nice."

"Monsters vs Aliens" is released in the UK on April 3.

Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon has been forced to give up pork, after buying her young daughter a pet pig.

Witherspoon’s nine-year-old Ava has fallen in love with the pig, and named him after legendary civil rights leader Booker T. Washington.

She has asked the Walk the Line actress to banish all pig products from the household.

“His name’s Booker T. Washington - my daughter is studying American history. She won’t eat pork, she won’t eat bacon, and I have to be very careful with what I eat,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Witherspoon has also revealed that her new movie ”Monsters vs Aliens” brought out her five-year-old son Deacon’’s violent tendencies.

How would you slot Anywhere But Home as a holiday movie?
It's a film about a couple who avoid their families at the holidays and through a series of circumstances have to go home. And they have to face that horrible fear of bringing home your significant other to really meet every humiliating memory that you have of your past. And everyone avoids it. I mean there's a natural human instinct to avoid it so it's sort of that comedy about having to really deal with it.

This movie's also about divorced couples and parents. You yourself are divorced; what is the compromise that you have done with your ex-husband to make it nice for your children?
The most important thing are the kids. It's like what do they want? What makes them feel comfortable? What makes them happy? The most important thing is not let any kind of feelings affect how you deal with your children. I'm very lucky in that; we raised our kids to just be happy and it's all about them.

When you were a little girl, did you always want to be a mom?
Before I had kids I had never held a baby, I had never babysat. So when I held my baby, Ava, that was the first time I'd ever held a baby in my life. So I understand that sort of fear of not being a good mom. It took me a long time to feel really comfortable in the role of mother.

In the movie, the philosophy is that the right thing to do for a couple is to get married and have kids. Do you agree with that?
I think the message is more it's important to stay open to whatever your relationship evolves into. You have to be open to whatever comes your way in life. And that life and love and relationships take all kinds of shapes and that it's not necessarily the one you recognise.

What is the most important thing to having a good relationship?
It's important to have honesty and openness and communication. I think my character sort of learns that in this movie. You can't have a relationship without those things.

Reese Witherspoon: 'It's Tough Being Short'

Reese Witherspoon finds "tough" being short.

The Legally Blonde star - who is reportedly engaged to boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal - says she's has had enough boobs, backs and armpits to last her three lifetimes.

And since playing a giant in her new movie, Monsters vs Aliens, Reese has started to hate the fact she only comes up to most other people's chests and has to deal with looking at boobs and armpits every day of her life.

She says, "It's still me at concerts or the supermarket, dealing with people's backs and their armpits and stuff.

"That's sort of the challenge of being 5 foot 2. It's tough."

Reese, 33, recently revealed that she had teamed up with Jim Brooks, Paul Rudd and Bill Murray for an as-yet untitled film about softball.
